About Nakawa Vocational Training College
Nakawa Vocational Training College (NVTC) is a Public Vocational Training Institution under the Ministry of Education & Sports (MoES) supervised by the BTVET Department. The College was established in 1971 as a Vocational center through a bilateral cooperation by the Governments of Uganda (GOU) and Japan with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as the executing organ of the Government of Japan. The primary objective of the establishment was to provide vocational training to workers in industries to upgrade their skills so as to enable them address the job challenges arising from the changing technology in enterprises.
