•  Lagos State University, Lagos  
  Admission criteria will be as follows, provided that the candidate has five credit passes including English, Mathematics, Physics and any two science related subjects. Note all the conditions below must be satisfied.
  a. Candidate must have B.Sc. degree in Computer Sciences or PGD in Computer Sciences from Lagos State University or a recognized university with a minimum of 3.0 CGPA in a scale of 5.0
  b. Candidate with M.Sc. in Computer Sciences of the Lagos State University with a minimum of 4.0 CGPA in a scale of 5.0 and thesis score not lower than 60% (B)
  c. Candidate must demonstrate adequate intellectual capacity, maturity, effective decision making and problem solving potentials.
  
  Note: Candidate with MSc in Computer Science with minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a scale of 5.0 and thesis score not lower than 60% [B] will be considered for Mphil/Ph.D
  
  Course duration: Full Time runs for a minimum of 6 semesters and maximum of 10 semesters while Part Time runs for a minimum of twelve [12] semesters and maximum of sixteen [16] semesters.

  Course entry requirements:
  -Applicants seeking admission into the PhD programme in Computer Science are required to have a master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related subject, and therein they would have obtained at least 4.0 on a 5.0 – point scale or an average of 60% score. Candidates must submit official transcript as evidence of this.
  
  -Candidates with a CGPA of 3.50 to 3.99 on a point scale of 5.0 or 55% – 55% in their master’s degree may be admitted under conditional status (provisional) to the PhD programme, provided that they successfully complete a minimum of 16 additional credits in Master’s – level coursework in Computer Science of Babcock University and pass with a minimum of 60% average score or CGPA of 4.0/5.0 prior to the commencing of any coursework in the PhD in Computer Science programme.

  Course entry requirements:
  (i) Graduates of recognized Universities who have obtained a good Masters Degree appropriate to the proposed areas of study;
  (ii) Graduates of recognized Universities who have obtained Masters of Philosophy degree with considered high CGPA to proceed for PHD in the appropriate field to the proposed areas of study;
  (iii) In addition to (i) – (ii) above, a candidate must possess at least a Bachelors degree in Second Class lower division;
  (iv) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the above, which are acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University;
  (v) Candidate must state the proposed area of research and submit a synopsis of not less than 500 words of the proposed topic of research.

  Many of the concepts on this course involve mathematical techniques, therefore you are expected to have a working knowledge of calculus and should know the basics of vectors and matrices, probability and statistics.

  Course entry requirements:
  -Master’s degree with a weighted average score of 60% and above (CGPA of not less than 4.0 on a 5 point scale)
  
  -Candidates who do not make up to 60% (≥ 55% or CGPA of not less than 3.5 on a 5 point scale) or deficient in some prerequisite courses especially from another institution may be required to register for the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme. The Department may prescribe appropriate courses for candidates whose academic record is considered deficient for the area of specialization.
  
  -In addition, PhD applicants should submit a concept note/ research proposal of not more than 450 words along with their application form

  Admission criteria:
  -A graduate of Elizade University or any other approved University who possesses a Master’s Degree with research thesis and a weighted coursework average which normally shall not be less than 60% or CGPA of 4.0.
