  Admission requirements:
  For admission into 100 level, candidates must possess credit level passes in five subjects at the SSCE/GCE O'Level/NECO/NABTEB or equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings. The subjects passed must include English Language and Mathematics for the Sciences & Management Sciences programmes and English Language for the Humanities Programmes Candidates awaiting SSCE/GCE O'Level/NECO/NABTEB results may also apply provided the result would be available at the time of Matriculation.
  
  (B) Direct Entry into 200-Level:
  Candidates for admission into 200-level must have, in addition to requirement for admission into 100-level, passed G.C.E(A/L) in 2 relevant subjects or passed NCE, OND, HND or equivalent at not less than lower credit level.
  
  (C) JAMB REQUIREMENTS
  100 Level Candidates are required to sit for the 2017/2018 UTME of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attain the prescribed cut-off marks. This is a statutory requirement for admission into Samuel Adegboyega University. Applicants are to ensure that their UTME subject combinations qualify them for their chosen programmes. Direct Entry candidates must obtain the JAMB Direct Entry Forms. Candidates, who did not choose Samuel Adegboyega University initially in their 2017 UTME but are interested, are also eligible to apply for admission and participate in the admission screening exercise of the University.

  Entry requirements:
  Applicants must write UTME and attain an acceptable score in the use of English and three other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study and further obtain an acceptable score at the compulsory University post UTME screening test;
  
  For a candidate who has attained the acceptable standard in the UTME to be registered for a course in the University, he must have passed five subjects at credit level (including English Language and Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any of Geography, Economics, Agricultural Science and atleast a pass in Physics for B.Sc. Biology and Physics must be at credit level for those seeking admission into B.Sc. Microbiology) at not more than two sitting in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level Examination, West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE), National Examination Council (NECO) or National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) in subject relevant to the course of study.
  
  UTME candidates should normally have attained the age of 16 years.
  b) Direct Entry Candidates
  
  Candidates must possess:
  
  either passes in at least two (2) ‘A’ Level subjects or its equivalent which must include Biology, Botany or Zoology with Chemistry.
  OND/NCE in related fields. In addition candidates must also possess complementary 0’ level credit passes at not more than one sitting to be considered for admission.

  Admission requirements:
  a). UTME Entry Requirements
  
  The Department of microbiology of Madonna University Elele campus offers courses leading to B. Sc. (Honours) degree in Microbiology. Admission is either by entrance examination (UTME) or Direct Entry. Students admitted through entrance examination undergo a four years degree course.
  
  Students applying to read the four years programme for the award of Bachelor of sciences in Microbiology of Madonna University must satisfy the minimum University Matriculation Requirements. Such students must have at least five credit passes in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and English language at WAEC, G. C. E. O/ Levels or its equivalents in not more than two sittings.
  
  b) Direct Entry
  
  Students for Direct entry admission into a three years programme, are expected in addition, to have a minimum of two (2) passes at G.C.E. A/ Level or an equivalent certificate (IJMB) in not more than two sittings in Biology and any of; Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics or Physics. Students who have obtained national Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology are also eligible for direct entry into 200 Level. Students who enrolled and have spent one successful year in other Faculties in Madonna University can also transfer to Microbiology Department provide they met the minimum UTME requirement at the time of their admission into the institution.
•  Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan  
  Course entry requirements:
  (i) UTME (JAMB): Candidates applying for admission into the University through JAMB UTME must have a minimum score of 160, with subjects English, Biology, Chemistry and any other science subject. Post-UTME screening will be conducted for interested all interested candidates to ensure that only the best students are admitted as well as to maintain high educational standards.
  
  (ii) O’Levels: The candidate must have not less than five credit passes (at one sitting) or six credit passes (at two sittings ) in Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or General Certificate Examination Ordinary Level (GCE, ‘O’ Level) organised by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or the National Examination Council (NECO), including English and Mathematics. Five Credit passes in English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other science subject for all categories of students seeking admission is mandatory.
  
  (iii) Direct Entry: As from the second phase of development, General Certificate Examination Advanced Level (GCE A’ Level) holders with a minimum of 9 points plus ‘O’ Level English and Mathematics, OND with a minimum of credit pass; or graduates of recognised related programmes may be considered for a direct entry. Candidates need Two ‘A’ Level passes Biology, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry or Physics.

  Course entry requirements:
  -Current Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) Result
  -Five O' Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit Passes at one sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English, and any other 2 Social Sciences or Arts Subjects are required for admission into College of Law.
  -Five O' Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit Passes at one sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology are required for admission into the MBBS Programme.
  -Other Programmes: Five O' Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit Passes at not more than two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics and three (3) other subjects relevant to course of study.
  -Results of PAST Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examinations (UTME) are not allowed.
  -Candidates awaiting SSCE results or its equivalent can also apply for admission provided they qualify when results are available.

  For Admission through University Matriculation Examination, the duration is four years. Candidates would be required to obtain a minimum of Five Credits at not more than two sittings in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English language.
  
  Direct Entry:
  
  Candidates in addition to satisfying the same requirements above, should possess three A-Level passes (Grade A-E) (Biology inclusive) at advanced level in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics; or a good Diploma/OND from recognized institutions.
  
  Admission is also offered in Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Microbiology and Master of Science (M.Sc) in Medical Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology and Industrial Microbiology. Candidates are required to possess good degrees from recognized institutions.

  Admission requirements:
  The entry requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, to form the core subjects with credit in the three other relevant science courses Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the senior secondary school certificate or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in university matriculation examination into 100-level is required. Expected course duration for a UTME candidate shall be 4 years.
