  Admission requirements:
  U.M.E. Candidates
  For admission into the first degree programme in Agriculture, a candidate must have the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalents with credit level passes in five (5) subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry to form the core subjects, with credit in any of the following: Physics, Biology or Agricultural Science at not more than two sittings. The candidate must also earn an acceptable score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  
  Direct Entry Candidates
  In addition to the specified qualification for UME Entry Mode (100Level), candidates seeking admission through the Direct Entry Mode (200- Level) must posses one of the following qualifications:
   General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A/L) or its equivalent passes in Chemistry and in at least one science or social/ management science subject from the following: Biology, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics (Pure and Applied), Agricultural Science, Physics, Geology, Economics and Geography.
   National Diploma (OND or ND) obtained in relevant fields of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, Wildlife, Cooperative and Agribusiness Management, or Veterinary Science with a minimum of upper credit.
   National Certificate of Education (NCE) passed with a minimum of Credit grade (60- 69%) obtained from a College of Education recognised by the University and with relevant subject combinations from among: Agricultural science, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Home Economics.
  
  (ii) 300- Level:
  Higher National Diploma (HND) obtained with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant fields as listed for OND/ND holders and from NBTE accredited institutions recognised by the University.
•  Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma  
  Entry requirements:
  (a) Joint Matriculation Examination Entry Requirements:
  In addition to an acceptable pass in JME, candidates must have WASC/GCE O' Level Credit passes in at least five subjects including English language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and/or Agricultural sciences, OR Senior Secondary School Certificate with credit in Engfish Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and/or Agricultural Sciences. Credit pass in Economics and Geography can also be used.
  
  (b) Direct Entry Requirements:
  
  Candidates for direct admission must have met the matriculation requirements in the relevant subjects plus two SSC/GCE Adanced Level passes in Chemistry and either Biology orAgricultural sciences.
  Candidates who have obtained OND in Agricuhure with a minimum of upper credit, HND in Agriculture with an overall pass or NCE in Agricultural Science with at least an overall Credit pass may be eligible for direct admission provided they meet the JME requirements.
  Candidates who, have obtained Diploma certificate in Agriculture, in any of the Natural Sciences, Banking and Finance and Business Management with at least a merit pass may be eligible for Direct entry to 200L, provided they meet the UME requirements.
  Candidates with OND and Diploma certificates in relevant areas but with a pass grade may be admitted direct into 100 Level.
  HND with upper credit plus 5 credits at WASC/NECO/SCE O' level may be admitted into 300L.

  Admission Requirements:
  (Minimum requirements for entry to the first year Bachelors Degree) 1.UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS a.JME Entry Requirement to Year I. WASC/GCE ‘O’ Level/SSSC with credit passes in 5 appropriate subjects including English Language and Mathematics obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. In addition the above qualification(s), a candidate must pass the Joint Matriculation Examination (JME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the University Screening Test organized by the University. b.DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (YEAR II) For direct entry admission, a candidate must have any of the following qualifications: (i)HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level passes in a minimum of two (2) relevant subjects plus at least credit level passes in WASC/GCE ‘O’ Level/SSSC in a minimum of three (3) subjects including English Language, in not more than two (2) sittings. (ii)HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level passes in three (3) relevant subjects plus credit level passes in WASC/GCE ‘O’Level/SSC in a minimum of two (2) other subjects (including English Language) at not more than two (2) sittings. (iii)OND/ND/UD (upper credit certificates) for admission to Year II provided that requirements through JME are also satisfied. (iv)Relevant HND for admission to year three (3).

  1.Obtain passes at the Advanced Level GCE or HSC/HND in Chemistry and at least one of the following; Biology, Zoology, Botany, Agricultural Science, Physics, Geography, Economics or Mathematics.
  2.Candidates who have obtained OND at approved Agricultural, Fisheries, Forestry, and Wildlife Schools with at least credit Passes in addition to UME requirements may be eligible for direct entry.
  3.NCE (Agric. Science) from a recognised College of Education, NND or HND from a recognised College of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry and Wildlife with at least a credit pass.
  4.HND or NND in the Science (Chemistry, HND or NND Zoology, Botany, or Biology).
