  Entry into Diploma and Candidates:
  - Diploma: 4 credits WASSCE/O’level (including English language)
  - Certificate: 3 credits WASSCE/O’level (with or without English language)
  Because social workers often engage with people during vulnerable times in their lives, it is imperative that the student be of good character and adheres to relevant ethical standards. Together with the student, an external body, usually a committee from the university or college determines if the student has the emotional and academic ability and character to be a professional social worker.
