  Course entry requirements:
  -An applicant must have a good Master's degree in French (with a CGPA of not less than 3.50) from a recognized university. A candidate considered deficient in any way shall remedy such deficiencies by taking courses at the M.A. coursework level. In addition, each candidate must submit a proposal that he/she shall be required to defend at the end of the coursework, before going into the write-up stage.

  a) Every candidate must have a Master’s degree in his/her area of specialization with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 or 60%.
  
  b) Holders of M.Phil. Degree in his/her area of specialization.
  
  c) Those who have CGPA of 3.50 – 3.99 or 55% and above in Master’s degree programme can apply.
  
  d) Candidates in (c) above will have to go through a conversion process into Ph.D. programme.

  b. M.Phil./Ph.D Degree in French.
