  Admission Requirements:
  Applicants for the Bachelor of Economics degree must, in the first instance, satisfy the general University of Nairobi’s admission requirements.
  
  In addition, they should have obtained a minimum of grade c+ in Mathematics offered in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, or their equivalents.
  
  When the equivalents are difficult to establish, a candidate may be required to pass an entrance examination before being admitted into the programme. The pass mark for the entry examination shall be 50%.

  Admission requirements
  
  (i) A mean grade of C+ at KCSE
  
  (ii) Applicants must have scored at least C+ in the following subjects: Physics or Chemistry or Biology, English or Kiswahili, a Humanity or a Commercial subject. In addition, candidates should have obtained at least a B- in Mathematics.
  
  (iii) Candidates with A-level qualifications or its equivalence will be considered, on condition that they attain at least two (2) principals and a credit in Mathematics

  Minimum entry requirements:
  i. (Mean grade of C+ (plus) at KCSE and a C plain in Mathematics and English Language in KCSE, or at least a D+ in Mathematics and a C (plain) in Commerce, Business Studies, Accounting, or Economics; OR
  ii. Two principals and one subsidiary pass in Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) plus at least pass in Maths and English at ‘O’ level; OR
  iii. Holder of CPA(K),
  iv. A diploma or higher diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
•  Karatina University, Karatina  
  Admission Requirements:
  Minimum mean grade of C+ (Plus) at KCSE and at least a C in English and C in Mathematics or Commerce or Business Studies or Economics or Accounting OR 2 principal passes and one subsidiary pass at ‘A’ level OR Diploma in Economic related field from a recognized institution.
•  University of Embu, Embu  
  MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  Mean grade C+ at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ in Mathematics; OR,
  KACE or equivalent with at least two Principal passes and one Subsidiary with Credit pass in Mathematics at KCE or equivalent.

  Be a holder of KCSE with a minimum aggregate of C+ (plus) or equivalent and a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English

  Duration: 8 semesters
  
  Minimum entry requirements:
  -C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
