Institutions Offering Bachelor of Economics

•  Muni University, Arua  
  Minimum Admission Requirements:
  a) Direct Entry (UACE)
  Eligible applicants must have obtained at least two (2) principal passes at UACE, and five (5) passes at UCE obtained at the same sitting. Essential: Economics and Mathematics
  Relevant: One better done of: Geography, Physics, Entrepreneurship, and Geometrical Drawing or Technical Drawing.
  Others: General Paper, Sub-Maths, or Computer Studies
  b) Diploma Entry
  A candidate shall be admitted for a Bachelor of Economics programme if she/he has at least a Second-Class Diploma from a recognized institution.
  c) Higher Education Certificate
  Applicants with a credit in Higher Education Certificate with a bias in Humanities from a recognized institution shall be considered for admission.
  d) Mature Age scheme
  Eligible candidates:
  i) Must NOT be less than 25 years of age by the time of submitting the
  application.
  ii) Must pass the University Mature Age Entry Examinations.
  
  Programme Duration:3 Years
•  St. Lawrence University, Kampala  
  Course entry requirements:
  (a) Direct Entry Scheme
  For direct entry scheme candidates will have:
  -Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its
  equivalent
  -At least two principal passes at one sitting of Uganda Advanced certificate of Education
  (UACE) or its equivalent
  
  (b) Diploma Entry scheme
  Candidates will be admitted to the university if they have at least a second-class diploma award from a recognized institution of higher learning
  
  (c) Access Programme
  Students who hold Kenya Certificate of education (KCSE) and wish to enroll for degree or diplomas have
  to undergo Access Programme. Such students require a minimum mean grade of C (plain) to qualify for the Access Programme
  
  Course duration: 3 years
•  Kabale University, Kabale  
  Course entry requirements:
  -UACE (or equivalent) with two Principal passes in Economics/ Entrepreneurship and Mathematics, plus UCE (or equivalent) with 5 passes; or a Diploma in a related field
  
  Course duration: 3 years
