  2. A holder of a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering from another institution recognized by the DeKUT Senate.
  3. Any other related engineering qualification deemed as being an adequate prerequisite for the PhD Mechanical Engineering Degree by DeKUT Senate.

  Admission Requirements:
  (a) Holders of Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in mechanical engineering or a closely related field from the University of Nairobi.
  (b) Holders of Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in mechanical engineering or a closely related field from any another institution recognized by the Senate as being of equivalent standing.
•  Technical University of Kenya, Nairobi  
  Course entry requirements:
  (i) Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or
  
  (ii) Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or
  
  (iii) Any such qualification from TU-K or any other institution accepted and recognized by Senate
  
  Course duration: 3 years
