  Course entry requirements:
  i. Applicants must obtain a Masters’ Degree in Guidance and Counselling or any related discipline with an approved CGPA from Gombe State University or any other recognized University.
  ii. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education obtained at not less than Second Class Lower Division from Gombe State University or any other recognized University. Candidates with a 3rd Class Bachelor’s Degree plus PGDE may be considered and Higher National Diploma (HND) holders may be considered provided that such applicants possess Postgraduate Diploma in Education obtained at not less than credit level.

  Admission criteria:
  (a) Candidates who hold a Master's degree in Guidance and Counselling or related discipline with at least a lower division from any University recognized by the senates of Bennie State University.
  (b) Candidate who hold qualification which together with relevant experience is deemed by the Faculty Board to be equivalent of (a) above
