  Course entry requirements:
  Applicants are required to meet at least one of the following:
  
  (a) 100 Level
  A minimum of five credits at not more than two sittings in the GCE, O’ level, SSCE, NECO examinations or its equivalent in relevant subjects including English Language, Literature in English and Yoruba.
  
  (b) 200 Level
  
  i. A minimum of three credit passes in NCE, OND, HND or its equivalent in subjects including English Language and Literature as well as the O’ level result.
  ii. GCE Advanced level or IJMB passes in two subjects, with three other subjects in the O’ level, including Yoruba.

  Admission Requirements:
  Direct Entry:
  i. Very good passes in three JUPEB/A’ Level
  subjects in Yoruba/Igbo and any two of
  History, CRS/IRS, French, Government, Music,
  Visual Arts and Literature in English.
  ii. NCE (Merit) in two subjects to include a
  Nigerian Language.
  
  UTME:
  Five O/Level credit passes in
  English Language, Mathematics
  and any three Arts, Science or
  Social Sciences. Social Studies
  and Civic Education are also accepted.

  B.A. Yoruba (Single and Combined Honours)
  
  
  Course entry requirements:
  In addition to meeting the University of Ibadan entry requirements and those of the Faculty of Arts, candidates should have earned credits in five subjects including English Language and Yoruba and any other Arts subject at the Ordinary Level. Candidates should also have sat for English, Yoruba and one other Arts subject at UME.
