  a) A candidate who wishes to register for Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry degree must have the following minimum University general admissions requirements.
  (i) At least C+(Plus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent
  (ii) At least C- (Minus) in KCSE and a Diploma or its equivalent
  (iii) At least two Principal Passes in KACE
  b) In addition to meeting (a) above, candidates wishing to register for Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry degree must have any of the following:
  (i) At least C+(Plus) in KCSE or its equivalent with passes in at least three subjects in either of the following two alternatives
  (A or B):

  (ii) At least C- (Minus) in KCSE and a KNEC Diploma or its equivalent in physical science subjects (Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry), with at least a pass.
  (iii) Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) or equivalent qualification with at least two principal passes in science subjects one of which must be chemistry.
  (iv) A science/technology based degree or its equivalent from an institution accredited by the Commission for University Education.

  Minimum entry requirements:
  1. KCSE with a minimum aggregate of C+ and:
  i)C+ in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics
  ii)C+ in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology
  iii)C+ in Mathematics, Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences
  2. OR Have a minimum of 2 Principal Passes in Science Subjects in K.A.C.E in which one must be in Chemistry or any other qualification accepted by the university senate
  3. OR Have a Diploma in Industrial Chemistry or any other relevant field of chemistry with at least a credit pass from an institution recognized by the university senate

  MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  Mean grade C+ at KCSE or equivalent with at least C+ in Chemistry or Physical Sciences and any other two Science subjects; OR,
  KACE or equivalent with at least two Principal passes of which one must be in Chemistry and one Subsidiary; OR,
  KCSE mean grade C (plain) with a Diploma or Higher National Diploma in a relevant science discipline with at least a credit pass.
