•  University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nsukka  
  Course entry requirements:
  (i) Graduates of the University of Nigeria or of other Universities, who have obtained a good degree at Masters level or minimum of 3.5 grade average at the Masters level or
  (ii) Candidates who hold qualification, other than the above, acceptable to Senate can be admitted to the PhD Programme
  
  Course duration:
  a) A full-time PhD programme shall run for a minimum of six semesters, and for a maximum of eight semesters.
  ii) A part-time: PhD programme shall run for eight semesters and for a maximum of ten semesters.

  Admission criteria:
  a. Applicants must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of not less than 4.0 at the M.A Philosophy level from the Lagos State University or from any other recognised university.
  b. All candidates shall be subjected to a selection process.
  
  Course duration:
  minimum of three academic sessions (6 semesters) and a maximum of five academic sessions (10 semesters) for full time candidates, and a
  minimum of five academic sessions (10 semesters) and a maximum of eight academic sessions (16 semesters) for part time candidates.

  Course entry requirements:
  (a) SSC or its equivalent with credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language at not more than two sittings.
  (b) A minimum of Second Class Lower Division at the Bachelor’s Level in Philosophy from a recognized University.
  (c) M.A. in Philosophy with a minimum CGPA of 4.00 on a 5-point scale or average of 60% (B) from a recognized university.
