  Course entry requirements
  (a) Applicants with SSSCE certificate must have aggregate score of twenty-four (24)(A-D) or better in six
  subjects, comprising: (3 core subjects, i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science and 3 electives in pure
  science, i.e. Elective Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry
  
  (b) Applicants with WASSCE certificate must have aggregate score of Thirty-six (36)(A1-C6) or better in six
  subjects,comprising: ((3 core subjects, i.e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science and 3 electives in pure
  science, i.e. Elective Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry)
  
  (c) Mature applicants (Evening and Weekend)
  -They must be qualified Nurses (SRN/RGN) or holders of Bachelor degree in Human Biology. In addition, candidates must have attained the age of 25 years or above with five (5) credits in five (5) GCE “O” Levels or six passes in SSSCE/ WASSCE subjects including English Language ,Mathematics and Science, and must have at least three (3) years working experience in addition to passing an entrance examination and interview. Successful candidates would be admitted into level 200.
  
  
  (d) Diploma in Physician Assistantship(Medical)
  -Candidates with Diploma certificate in Physician Assistantship from recognized institutions with a minimum GPA of 2.50 and a pass in the licensure examination conducted by the Medical and Dental Council will be admitted to third year (Level 300).

  (i) SSSCE applicants
  -Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE): with an aggregate score of twenty-four (24) or better in six (6) subjects comprising: A – D in all three (3) core subjects i.e. English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and at least passes i.e. (A – D) in three (3) elective subjects in Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Elective Mathematics
  
  (ii) WASSCE applicants
  -Applicants must have obtained credits (A1 – C6 in WASSCE) in the following core subjects: English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies In addition, applicants must have obtained three (3) credits (A1 – C6 in WASSCE) in the following Elective Subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Elective Mathematics.
  
  (iii) Interntional applicants and Ghananians with external educational credentials
  Acceptable for Admission Include the following:
  -Senior Secondary School Certificates (WASSCE)
  -International Baccalaureate (IB)
  -GCE (Cambridge) – ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels
  -IGCSE (Cambridge) – ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels
  -American High School Grade – Grade 12 and 13 examinations
  -Other external qualifications which have equivalences to the
  -WASSCE and the GCE (A Levels
  -Entry requirements for applicants with any of these credentials shall be NAB
  equivalences of the WASSCE grades in the subjects listed under WASSCE
  Applicants.

  Admission requirements:
  
  1. Holders of SSSCE/WASSCE, with aggregate 24 or better, (With credit in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and credit passes in three elective subjects in Science.
  
  2. A pass in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) or West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSSCE) is understood to mean a candidate’s grades interpreted as follows:
  
  3. Senior Secondary School candidates shall be admitted into level 100 (First Year) of the 4 year Bachelor of Science Degree in Physician Assistantship.
