  i) Candidates must be holders of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E) with at least two principal passes and one of which must be Economics. They must have at least three (3) credit passes in the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E O.level) including Mathematics and Economics. In additional, the applicant must have scored in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A- Level) a total of 2.5 points or more in appropriate subjects at the same sitting. The points are based on the following scale: A =5, B+ =4, B =3, C =2, D =1, E =0.5, F =0.
  ii) Candidates must hold a Diploma in Banking or Economics and Finance or Business Management or Accountancy with second-class or credit or 'B' average standing from an institution recognized by the University and or by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
