  In addition, the Covenant University conducts screening exercise for all candidates seeking admission into the University.

  Course entry requirements:
  i.Candidates must satisfy the matriculation requirements of CALEB University including credit passes in English Language and Mathematics.
  ii.Possession of Bachelor of Science degree in economics of CALEB University or of any other University recognized by the Senate of CALEB University with a minimum of second class lower or a CGPA of 3.00 on a five point scale.
  iii.Possession of PGD in cognate discipline with not less than upper credit.
  iv.Possession of Bachelor of Science degree in a cognate discipline with a minimum of second class lower or a CGPA of 3.00 on a five point scale, plus a Postgraduate Diploma in economics with not less than a credit level pass.
  v.Candidates who possess a 3rd class bachelor’s degree in economics plus the Post Graduate Diploma of CALEB University in economics or cognate disciplines, or similar/equivalent Diplomas recognized by the Senate of CALEB University with not less than a credit level pass.
  vi.An acceptable level of “Pass” in any M.Sc. entry qualifying Examination conducted by the University.
•  Bowen University, Iwo  
  Course entry requirements:
  (i) All candidates are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree obtained from a University approved by Senate and with a grade not less than Second Class Lower Division.
  (ii) A candidate with less than Second Class Lower Division plus a Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit in a relevant field from a recognized University.
  (iii) In addition to (i) and (ii) above, candidates must satisfy the Ordinary Level requirement of five (5 subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) subject as may be specified for the programme of choice.
  
  -Candidates in regular employment or employed at Bowen must indicate such and must submit with their applications, formal letter of release to Postgraduate College.
  
  -Applicants who are not graduates of Bowen University must request their former Universities or institutions to forward directly to the College Administrator, College of Postgraduate Studies, Bowen University their academic transcripts as applicable.

  Admission criteria:
  Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree (at least Second Class Lower Division). Candidates must satisfy the following specific requirements:
  -Eligible candidates are graduates of Economics or related courses such as Finance, Statistics and Mathematics.
  -Candidates must have five credit passes including English, Mathematics and Economics at the O’ level.
  -Have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from an approved university whose Economic Programme is accredited by NUC.
  -Have a minimum of a Second Class Lower Degree in the discipline with CGPA of not lower than 2.5 on a 5.0 scale.
  -Candidates will however be required to satisfy the Department in a selection process through an entrance examination/interview.
  -The candidate must have completed the mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme or have been exempted as the case may be.

  Course entry requirements:
  -Graduates of Kwara State University or other recognised universities who have obtained the approved degree of Bachelor with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division.
  -Candidates with Second Class Lower Division may, however, be considered for admission. Such candidates may be subjected to qualifying examination.
  In addition to above, a candidate must satisfy the university’s requirements for matriculation.

  Course entry requirements:
  -At least a second class (upper division) in Economics shall have been obtained in the candidate's Bachelor's degree examinations.
  -In very exceptional cases, a candidate with a marginally lower academic performance in the Bachelor's degree examinations may be considered.
  -However, under no circumstance will a candidates obtaining below a second class degree be eligible for admission.
