    A Multi-Engine Rating – Aeroplane, allows you to:
    - Fly non-high-performance multi-engine aeroplanes as endorsed on your licence.
    Prerequisites:
    - Valid CPL or PPL
    - Valid Category 1 or 3 Medical Certificate

    Training Requirements:
    - To achieve your Multi-Engine Rating you must have:
    - Successfully complete a flight test to the standard outlined in the Flight Test Standards – Multi-Engine Rating – Aeroplane (TP219).
    - There is no Transport Canada Study and Reference Guide for this course, as there is also no written exam.
    - Knowledge of multi-engine theory and practical application of performance charts will be tested during the flight test.
    - Your instructor will provide reading assignments to prepare you.
  • Edmonton Flying Club Edmonton Flying Club, Alberta  
    Prerequisites:
    The candidate must hold a Private Licence and valid category 1 or 3 medical.

    Requirements:
    Must be proficient to pass the flight test. There is no minimum time and no written test. There are only exercises that must be completed as per Transport Canada’s Flight Test Guide.

    Duration:
    Training is at the student’s pace and convenience. The course will take 7 to 14 days if full time, weather and aircraft dependent. For part time students (1-3 bookings per week) students can expect 1-2 months for this rating.
  • Brampton Flight Centre Brampton Flight Centre, Ontario  
    Multi-Engine Rating training involves approximately 30 hours of ground school and briefings and 10-15 hours flying/ simulator FTD (included in the Commercial Licence flying total). The ground school will cover such subjects as Multi-Engine aerodynamics, Multi-Engine PA-44 Seminole systems and Multi-Engine Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Upon completion of the ground school and flight instruction, a student will demonstrate proficiency through a flight test administered by a Transport Canada approved examiner.
  • MFC Training MFC Training, Moncton  
    This rating can be completed as an add on for a private license flying or to a commercial license as well. This rating will allow you to fly planes with more than 1 engine.

    Requirements:
    - Candidates must hold a minimum of a Transport Canada PPL or CPL license as a prerequisite.
