Institutions Offering Higher National Diploma in Agricultural Extension and Management

•  Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia  
  Course entry requirements
  (a) S.C.E. or its equivalent (Grade II TC, NTC/NBC, WASC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, etc.) with five (5) credit level passes in not more than two (2) sittings. The subjects must include Biology/Agricultural Science and any three of the following: Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Physics, English language. At least a pass in English Language, Chemistry and Mathematics/Statistics is compulsory.
  Candidates who have successfully completed the NBTE recognized Pre-National Diploma (Science and Technology) programme offered by a College of Agriculture or similar post-secondary technical institution provided the students admitted into the Pre-ND programme have a pass in English Language and in other subjects.
  In addition to the above, the candidates should have gotten an acceptable score in the UTME/JAMB Examination.
  
  (b) A minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA 2.50 and above) in the ND examination in any of the Agricultural Programmes, and
  (c) A minimum of one year cognate work experience
  (d) In exceptional cases, ND diplomates with a pass (CGPA of 2.00 – 2.49) in the ND
  Examination that have two or more years of cognate work experience in the specific field may be considered for admission into the HND programme
•  Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Plateau  
  Duration: 2 years
  
  Minimum entry requirement:
  a) Five (5) Credit level passes in SSCE/GCE or its equivalent in not more than two (2) sittings. The five (5) subjects must include English Language
  and Mathematics and other ordinary level credits relevant to the ND programme the applicant possesses.
  b) National Diploma with a minimum of lower credit in any Agricultural programme (E.g. ND Agricultural Technology, Animal Health and Production Technology, Fisheries, Horticultural Technology and Wild life and Ecotourism Management etc).
  c) A minimum of one year post National Diploma cognate experience.
  d) In exceptional cases, National Diploma certificate holders with a pass but with two (2) or more years cognate experience may be considered.
  e) The candidate must be from National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) accredited programme.
  f) National Diploma JAMB Admission letter.
•  Federal College of Agriculture Akure, Akure  
  Course requirements
  (i) A minimum of one year Post National Diploma cognate work experience.
  
  (ii) In exceptional cases, ND diplomats with a pass (CGPA of 2.00-2.49) that had two years of cognate experience in the specific field may be considered for admission into Higher National Diploma programme.
  
  Program duration: Two years for full time students and three years for part-time students
•  Federal College of Agriculture Ishiagu, Ishiagu  
  Course requirements
  (a) Credit in English, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Economics, Geography, Credit/Pass in Chemistry, Physics.
  
  (b) National Diploma Result, one year I.T or two years I.T. Report (for Students who graduated with pass in National Diploma)
  
  (c) Transcript of National Diploma Result for Candidates who did their National Diploma in other Schools/Institutions.

  Entry requirements
  (i) A minimum of lower credit in a relevant National Diploma (ND) plus five O’level credits in relevant subject obtained at WASSCE / GCE / NECO / NABTEB.
  
  (ii) One year Post National industrial experience.
  
  (iii) NCE holders can also apply for Higher National Diploma Programs.
