  Category A: Senior High School Certificate Holders
  
  i. six WASSCE credit passes including three (3) core subjects: English Language,
  
  Mathematics and Integrated Science
  
  ii. Credit passes in any three (3) of the following elective subjects: Management in Living, Clothing and Textiles, Foods and Nutrition, General Knowledge in Art, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Textiles and Economics.
  
  
  
  B: Mature Candidates
  
  The applicant must
  
  i. be at least 25 years of 1st August of the year of application
  
  ii. Hold Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ or a SHS Certificate
  
  iii. Pass the UEW Entrance Examination for the year in question
  
  
  
  C: Holders of relevant Diploma
  
  
  
  The applicant must:
  
  Possess a Diploma in Home Economics/Home Science or Higher National Diploma in a relevant subject from a recognised institution.

  Course entry requirements
  
  -Passes in Management in Living and any two (2) other elective subjects relevant to the preferred option.
  -For Clothing and Textiles Option, the appropriate electives are: Clothing and Textiles (compulsory) and any one of the following subjects: Art, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Elective Mathematics and Economics.
  -For Food and Nutrition Option, the appropriate electives are: Foods and Nutrition (compulsory) and any one of the following subjects: Art, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Elective Mathematics, French and Economics.
