  (a) A Master’s degree in the field or related fields from UTAR; or
  
  (b) A Master's Degree in the field or related fields of another university or equivalent qualification from an institution as approved by Senate; or
  
  (c) Candidates without a related Master’s degree in the field or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by UTAR; or
  
  (d) A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields from UTAR with First Class Honours or with a minimum CGPA of 3.67 and show evidence of related research aptitude to the satisfaction of the Senate; or
  (e) A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields of another university or equivalent qualification from an institution with First Class Honours or with a minimum CGPA of 3.67 as approved by the Senate and shows evidence of related research aptitude to the satisfaction of the Senate; or
  (f) Any other qualifications equivalent to (a), (b), (d) or (e) as approved by the Senate.

  - IELTS Academic : 5.0 (CEFR Level B1)
  - TOEFL iBT Score: 42 - 45
  - Cambridge English Qualification and Tests : 154 - 159 (High B1 level in CEFR)
  - Pearson Test of English (PTE) : 47 - 50
  - MUET Band 3

  Note:
  
  -4A Bachelor’s degree graduate may not progress directly to a Doctorate degree programme. A Master’s degree candidate may request for an upgrade of studies to a Doctorate degree programme if he/she achieve a CGPA 3.67 at Bachelor’s degree level and shows sufficient capability and competency to conduct a doctoral research by the candidate and the University Senate has approved such request.

  Course entry requirements
  (i) Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in relevant area of study from Lincoln University College or any other HEP recognized by Lincoln University College Senate; OR
  (ii) Other qualifications equivalent to a Master degree (Level 7, MQF) recognized by Lincoln University College Senate; OR
  (iii) Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
  
  English Proficiency for International Students:
  -Minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 or 80 (Internet) or minimum International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or its equivalent.
