•  The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ilaro  
  The course prepares students to perform the following tasks in the food industry:
  
  (i) Assisting in all types of industrial food processing and packaging
  
  (ii) Marketing all types of processed and preserved food and food processing and preservation chemicals and equipment.
  
  (iii) Assisting in the chemical and biological analysis of raw and processed food
  
  (iv) Storing agricultural produce for industrial use
  
  
  
  Applicants are expected to meet the following qualifications:
  
  (a) WAEC,GCE[O/L],SSCE,NECO,NABTEB or equivalent with Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science/Health Science and any one of the following:
  
  (i) Technical Drawing
  
  (ii) Economics/Commerce
  
  (iii) Further Mathematics
  
  (iv) Home Economics
  
  (v) Food and Nutrition
  
  (vi) Geography plus at least a Pass in Physics.
