  Admission Requirements:
  Candidates must satisfy the University’s general admission criteria for undergraduate programmes.
  
  Eligibility for consideration for admission into the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the School of Mathematics shall be governed by the following minimum admission requirements or an equivalent qualification recognized by the senate.
  
  KCSE:
  A holder of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum aggregate performance of C+. In addition, candidates must have obtained a minimum of grade B+ in mathematics.
  
  A-Level:
  A holder of the Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with 2 principal passes in mathematics/physics, mathematics/chemistry, mathematics/geography, or Mathematics/Economics
  
  Diploma in Computer Studies/Statistics/Education
  A holder of an ordinary diploma in computer studies, statistics, or education with mathematics as a major subject, with a minimum pass at credit level, from an institution recognized by the senate.
  
  A Bachelors Degree:
  A holder of a Bachelors’ Degree from an institution recognized by the senate preferably with a good mathematics background.

  Admission Requirements:
  
  To be eligible for the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree, a candidate must;
  
  -Have obtained a minimum mean grade of C+ (C Plus) in KCSE. In addition, she must have passed with a grade C (C Plain) in Mathematics and English;
  -Have a minimum of two principal passes one of which must be Mathematics at Advanced Level Certificate from a recognised institution;
  -Have a diploma in relevant subjects with at least a credit pass from an institution recognised by the university;
  -A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 after undertaking Pre-University programme from a recognised institution;
  -Have any relevant qualification equivalent to the above four. Student who have met the university entry requirement but have not met the minimal departmental requirement of a grade C (C Plain) in Mathematics and English will be required to undertake a one semester bridging course in the relevant subject.

  -Mean grade C+ in KCSE with at least C+ in Math, OR 2 Principals in Math/Phys, Math/Chem, Math/Geog, Math/Econ in KACE, OR Diploma in Education with at least a credit and Math as a major from Senate-recognized institutions
