Institutions Offering Master of Arts in History and Diplomacy

•  Lagos State University, Lagos  
  Admission criteria:
  Applicants are required to possess at least:
  a. A good Bachelor’s degree in History and International Studies of the Lagos State
  University not below Second Class (Lower) Division, OR
  b. A Bachelor’s degree in History and its variants of any other University recognized by the
  Senate of Lagos State University, OR
  c. A Bachelor’s degree in Humanities or Social Sciences adjudged as acceptable to the
  Department and the Senate of Lagos State University. However, candidates in this
  category not from core History and Political Science will on admission be required to to
  take and pass at 3.0 GP some core courses at the undergraduate level.
  d. Five credit passes including English, History or Government at the ‘O’ Level as basic
  requirement.
  e. Candidates must take and pass a (written essay) qualifying examination administered by
  the University.
  
  Course duration: Four (4) Semesters and maximum of six (6) semesters (the final semester being fully devoted to writing the dissertation).
