•  Rivers State University, Port Harcourt  
  Specialization options: Astronomy / Astrophysics, Solid State Physics/Electronics, Nuclear Physics and Applied Geophysics.
  
  Course entry requirements:
  Admission through Universities (Joint) Matriculation Examination (UME).
  
  Candidates should have obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS, a minimum of five relevant credits (or higher) level passes at SSCE/NECO/GCE “O’ level examinations.
  
  The relevant subjects shall include English Language and Mathematics. The other subject shall be as indicated in section B.1 (a). Such candidates shall be admitted into year 1 of the degree programme.
  
  A.2ADMISSION BY DIRECT ENTRY (e.g. PHYSICS)
  
  (a)Admission to year II of the degree programme.
  
  (i) HSC/GCE “A” level passes in at least two (2) relevant subjects (one of which must be Physics) plus school certificate/GCE “O” level credit or better passes {including English Language and Mathematics in three (3) other subjects from those indicated below (B.1 (a), at not more than two (2) sittings).
  
  (ii) Holders of OND/ND, UD certificates are eligible for admission to year II of the relevant degree programme, provided that such candidates also satisfy the requirements for admission through UME.
  
  (b)Admission to year III of the degree programme
  
  Holders of HND are eligible for admission to year III provided they pass with at least Upper Credit and satisfy the requirement for admission through UME.
  
  FACULTY/DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENTS (e.g. PHYSICS)
  
  B.1Admission through UME
  
  (a)Credit level or better passes at the Senior School Certificate (SSC), NECO Examination or equivalent passes at the GCE “O” level Examinations in a minimum of five subjects including Mathematics, English Language and Physics. The other subjects shall include Chemistry, Biology and other relevant science subjects.
  
  (b) Equivalent passes at “O” level in other recognized examinations in Nigeria and elsewhere may be considered by the Department subject to approval by the University Admissions Committee.
  
  B.2Admission to year II of the degree programme
  
  (i)HSC/GCE “A” level passes in at least two (2) relevant subjects (one of which must be Physics) plus School Certificate/GCE “O” level credit passes (including English Language and Mathematics) in three (3) other subjects from those indicated above B.1(a), at not more than two sittings.
  
  (ii) Candidate who passed with at least Upper Credit in the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or the National Diploma (ND) from recognised institutions may be admitted into the second year of the degree programme, provided such candidates also satisfy the requirements of admission through UME.
  
  B.3Admission to year III of the degree programme (e.g. Physics)
  
  Candidates who passed with at least Upper Credit in the Higher National Diploma (HND) are eligible for admission into the third year of the programme provided that such candidates also satisfy the requirements for admission through UME.
  
  Course duration: 4 years
•  Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, Katsina  
  Admission requirements:
  A minimum of five (5) subjects passed at not more than two sittings with at least two at the principal or advanced level of the G.C.E. and the others, at credit level of the SSC/GCE O/Level; no subject shall be counted at both Ordinary and Advanced Levels.
  
  Acceptable level of passes in two major subjects at the NCE with SSC O/Level credits or equivalent in THREE other subjects (mainly for Education Courses). Education may be accepted as a third A/Level subject for those taking course in Education.
  
  Acceptable level of passes in two subjects at the IJMB examination or Cambridge moderated school of Basic Studies terminal examination or International Baccalaureate from recognized institutions with SSCE/GCE O/Level credits or equivalent in three subjects;
  Ordinary National Diploma (OND) with at least a lower Credit Pass from recognized institutions, with a minimum of five ‘O’ level credits passed at a sitting.
  
  HND passed at lot less than lower credit from recognized institution plus 5 ‘O’ level credit passed at a sitting.
  
  Applicants must write UTME and attain an acceptable score in the use of English and three other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study and further obtain an acceptable score at the compulsory University post-UTME screening test;
  
  For a candidate who has attained the acceptable standard in the UTME to be registered for a course in the University, he must have passed five subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at credit level at not more than two sittings in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Examination (WASCE), National Examinations Council (NECO) or National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) in subjects relevant to the course of study.

  Admission requirements:
  The minimum admission requirements for programs of the Faculty are as follows:
  
  Level 100 (UTME) Admissions
  
  A candidate shall have an acceptable score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with the correct subject combination.
  A candidate may also be required to sit for a Post-UTME screening examination to be conducted by the University and obtain an acceptable score for the program applied for as may be set by the University Senate from time to time.
  A candidate shall possess the SSCE/GCE/TC II or equivalent with credit passes in five subjects, at least three of which shall be in the relevant area, obtained in not more than two sittings including English Language and Mathematics (where applicable).
  Level 200 (Direct Entry) Admissions
  
  A candidate for direct entry admission shall apply only through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
  A candidate shall possess at least one of the following qualifications obtained from recognized institutions that are licensed to run them:
  A two-year recognized diploma in the relevant area with a minimum of a good Lower Credit or equivalent.
  A two-year recognized diploma plus a one-year advanced diploma in the relevant area with a minimum classification of Lower Credit or equivalent.
  The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with a minimum of 9 points in the relevant subjects.
  The Interim Joint Matriculation Board Advanced Level Examination (IJMBE) with a minimum of 8 points in the relevant subjects.
  Any other qualification deemed equivalent to these by the Senate of the University.
  In all cases, ‘O’ Level credit in English Language and Mathematics (where applicable) shall be required.
•  Glorious Vision University, Ogwa  
  Admission requirements:
  For admission into 100 level, candidates must possess credit level passes in five subjects at the SSCE/GCE O'Level/NECO/NABTEB or equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings. The subjects passed must include English Language and Mathematics for the Sciences & Management Sciences programmes and English Language for the Humanities Programmes Candidates awaiting SSCE/GCE O'Level/NECO/NABTEB results may also apply provided the result would be available at the time of Matriculation.
  
  (B) Direct Entry into 200-Level:
  Candidates for admission into 200-level must have, in addition to requirement for admission into 100-level, passed G.C.E(A/L) in 2 relevant subjects or passed NCE, OND, HND or equivalent at not less than lower credit level.
  
  (C) JAMB REQUIREMENTS
  100 Level Candidates are required to sit for the 2017/2018 UTME of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attain the prescribed cut-off marks. This is a statutory requirement for admission into Samuel Adegboyega University. Applicants are to ensure that their UTME subject combinations qualify them for their chosen programmes. Direct Entry candidates must obtain the JAMB Direct Entry Forms. Candidates, who did not choose Samuel Adegboyega University initially in their 2017 UTME but are interested, are also eligible to apply for admission and participate in the admission screening exercise of the University.

  Minimum entry requirement:
  1. Ordinary level Requirements
  -Five credit passes in GCE (or Equivalent) examination at not more than two sittings with at least two passes at the Advanced (‘A’) level GCE;
  -Four credit passes at advanced level or its Equivalent
  
  2. UTME Requirements
  -The Senior Secondary School or the School Certificate/General Certificate of Education (SSCE/GCE) ordinary level credit passes in five subjects including Chemistry, Physics and Biology for Sciences and Mathematics, English, Economics, Commerce or Accounting, Government and Biology/Agric. Science for Management Sciences)
  -Grade II Teacher’s Certificate with Credit/merit passes in at least five subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Economics;
  -An acceptable score in the UTME as may be determined by the University from time to time; and
  -JAMB combination MUST include Mathematics, Economics, and Accounting or Commerce

  Course entry requirements:
  -Candidates must have participated in the 2020/2021 UTME and have met JAMB’s minimum requirements.
  -Must have obtained a minimum of five (5) credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC (SSCE)/NECO (SSCE)/GCE O’LEVEL or its equivalent.
  -The required credit passes must include English language and other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study.
  
  
  -Direct entry admission is available into 200 level in all programmes.
  -Candidate for direct entry are required to obtained JAMB direct entry forms and possess any of the following qualifications.
  
  
  -JUPEB/GCE Advanced level passes in relevant subjects
  -OND/NCE with minimum grade of upper credit/credit respectively
  -All direct entry candidates, in addition to the above, must satisfy the O’ level requirements.

  Four (4) Year B.Sc. Programme:
  (i) Five (5) Credit passes in SSCE or GCE Ordinary Level (or its equivalent) which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject in not more than two (2) sittings. UTME candidates shall offer English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the Examination.

  The entry requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to form the core subjects with credit in one other relevant science subject at the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in the University Matriculation Examination (UME) into 100-level is required.
  
  Direct Entry
  Candidates with two A level passes (graded A-E) at the Advanced Level in one or more relevant subjects (Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics and Physics) may undertake the three year degree programme into 200-level.

  Entry requirements:
  Programmes offered by COPAS must apply through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), either through the University Matriculation Examination (UTME) Scheme or by direct entry. UTME candidates must show evidence of haven taken and earned the minimum UTME score prescribed by JAMB. The UTME subjects are English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  
  UTME:
  The candidate must possess a minimum of five (5) O-level credit passes at one or two sittings at most, including, English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

  Admission Requirements (JAMB/Direct Entry):
  The minimum entry requirement for admission into Lead Ciity University is GCE O/L, SSCE/NABTEB/ NECO or equivalent credit level pass in five(5) subjects, including English Language, and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings. Those with additional (Direct Entry) qualification such as University Diploma, NCE, IJMB, OND, GCE 'A' Level or equivalent professional qualification etc are to proceed from part II. However, candidates awaiting result may apply provided evidence of results would be available before resumption.

  Course entry requirements:
  1. Applicants must write UTME and attain an acceptable score (National JAMB Minimum Cutoff) in the use of English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
  
  2. For a candidate who has attained the benchmark standard in the UTME to be registered for B.Sc Physics in the University, he/she must have a minimum of Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other science subject (example Further Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science).

  Five Credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) including English & Mathematics and any other 3 subjects preferably Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science in that order.
