  Admission Requirements:
  Relevant bachelor’s degree and a relevant Teacher’s Diploma (e.g. BA + HED) or relevant bachelor’s degree and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education or relevant four-year bachelor’s degree in Education (e.g. BEd) or relevant M+4 Teacher’s Diploma and relevant Advanced Diploma in Education.
  
  Selection Process:
  Selection is done after the closing date, based on the following:
  Candidates with a cumulative weighted average of at least 60% in the relevant undergraduate degree will receive preference; and
  A limited number of students can be admitted based on the available supervision capacity for the research projects in the department
  
  Duration of study:
  1 year, full-time.

  Course Entry Requirements:
  (a) The minimum admission requirements for the BEdHons degree, is a four-year professional
  teaching degree (in Senior phase and / or FET phase teaching) within the particular subject
  OR
  (b) an appropriate Bachelor’s degree (within appropriate subject area) and a recognized
  professional teaching qualification (in Senior phase and / or FET phase teaching) with an
  average of 60% pass mark in disciplinary area.
  
  Course Duration:
  (a) Minimum one year
  (b) Maximum two years
