The following shall qualify for admission into the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law degree
programme in the Department of International and Comparative Law: Graduates of the
University of Nigeria or of other recognized universities with a good Master‟s degree in Law (LL.M), with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale or 60% or a “B” grade and Project score of not lower than 60% (B).

Course duration:
(i) Full-time: A minimum of six (6) semesters and a maximum of ten (10) semesters.
(ii) Part-time: A minimum of eight (8) semesters and a maximum of twelve (12) semesters.

Course entry requirements
An applicant shall have a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from an approved university with research dissertation and weighted course work average which shall not be less than 60%

Admission criteria:
-An applicant for the Doctor of Philosophy [Ph.D] of Law shall be a graduate of the Lagos State University with a CGPA of not less than 4.0 points at the completion of the LL.M degree.
