  -Average grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
  -In addition, applicants are expected to have obtained at least a grade C+ in each of the cluster subjects in following cluster of subjects in KCSE examinations:

  d) Group IV:

  -Aviation Technology,
  -Computer Studies.
  e) Group V:
  -French,
  -German,
  -Arabic,
  -Music,
  -Business Studies.
  
  2. A-Levels or Equivalent
  -Candidates should have a minimum of two (2) principal passes in Mathematics and Physics and a subsidiary level pass in Chemistry with a credit pass in English at O-Level.
  
  3. Applicants with a Diploma (Technical Education Programme) in Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification.
  
  4. Applicants with a Higher Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification.
  
  5. Applicants with a Diploma(Technical Education Programme) in Technology in Medical Laboratory Technology of the Kenya Polytechnic University College or an equivalent qualification.
  
  Course duration: 4 years
