  Minimum entry requirement:
  1. Ordinary level Requirements
  -Five credit passes in GCE (or Equivalent) examination at not more than two sittings with at least two passes at the Advanced (‘A’) level GCE;
  -Four credit passes at advanced level or its Equivalent
  
  2. UTME Requirements
  -The Senior Secondary School or the School Certificate/General Certificate of Education (SSCE/GCE) ordinary level credit passes in five subjects including Chemistry, Physics and Biology for Sciences and Mathematics, English, Economics, Commerce or Accounting, Government and Biology/Agric. Science for Management Sciences)
  -Grade II Teacher’s Certificate with Credit/merit passes in at least five subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Economics;
  -An acceptable score in the UTME as may be determined by the University from time to time; and
  -JAMB combination MUST include Mathematics, Economics, and Accounting or Commerce

  Admission Requirements:
  
  To be admitted into the Science Education programme, the candidate would have satisfied the minimum entry requirements of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike as well as the Departmental requirements. These are:
  
  A minimum of 5 credits passes at the SSCE or its equivalent in not more than two sittings for a four year Degree Programme. SSCE subjects must include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  For Direct Entry, candidates must satisfy UME (O’Level) requirements in addition to the following:
  (a) OND/NDplacement at 100 Level
  
  (b) HNDplacement at 200 Level
  
  (c) NCE at Distinction/Creditplacement at 200 Level
  
  (d) NCE at Meritplacement at 100 Level

  Admission requirements:
  (a) Candidates through UTME must have SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O’Level credit passes in at least five subjects in any of the Arts, and Social Science subjects: CRK/BK/IRK/Islamic Studies, Arabic, Literature in English, Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa, Government, History, Economics, Commerce, and Geography.
  (b) In addition to ‘a’ above, candidates for Direct Entry must have at least merit passes in Diploma/NCE/Advanced Level in Arts and Social Sciences disciplines.

  NCE with credit pass in Physical Education may be considered provided relevant Credits at SSCE (or its Equivalent) are obtained. UME subjects are English, Biology and any other two relevant subjects.
