•  University of Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam  
  Course Entry Requirements:
  (i) The entry qualification for a master’s programme by coursework and dissertation requires a person to have at least a Lower Second Class degree (GPA of 2.7) or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning. Only candidates with GPA of 3.5 or above in their first degrees are considered for Masters by thesis.
  (ii) An Applicant who hold unclassified degrees (e.g. B.V. Sc. M.D. etc.) should have a credit or distinction in the subject of the intended Master’s programme. Candidates with Pass degrees will also be considered if:
  a) Their undergraduate performance in the proposed subject of study was a ‘B’ grade or higher.
  b) They have satisfied the relevant School/College/Institute that they have exhibited potential through subsequent research experience and/or additional training.
  (iii) An Advanced Diploma from a recognized higher learning institution with a minimum of an upper second class PLUS Postgraduate Diploma and Secondary School Certificates.
  (iv) A recognized professional qualification (CPA, CSP, ACCA, CA, CIB, MCIM, CMA certificate) PLUS Secondary School Certificates.

  Minimum entry requirements:
  i At least a Second Class degree from a recognised institution of higher learning. Candidates who hold an unclassified degree (e.g. M.D) shall have at least a B grade in the subject of the intended study (Biology or Chemistry);
  
  ii Candidate with a pass degree may also be considered for admission if:
  
  (a) their undergraduate performance in the proposed subject of study was a B grade or higher,
  
  (b) they have satisfied the University regarding their academic potential through subsequent research experience and/or additional training.
  
  iii Candidate with a coursework average of B+ or higher in a relevantpostgraduate diploma may upgrade to registration for a dissertation leading to a relevant Master's Degree; and
  
  iv Holders of BSc. (Ed.) or BED (Science) degrees from a recognised institution. Graduates from non-education science degree programmes or equivalent qualifications will be required to undertake Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) programme as a prerequisite prior to admission into the MSc. (Ed.) programme

  -Bachelor of Science with/in Education (Chemistry) with a GPA of 2.7 and above.
