  Course Entry Requirements:
  -Admission requirements for the MD program include a bachelor's degree in any discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution, the successful completion of the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), and the Casper exam. Credential evaluations are required for studies completed at international post-secondary institutions. The MCAT must be completed a minimum of 14 days prior to the application deadline as outlined in the important dates and deadlines for the Faculty of Medicine's Admissions process.
  
  -Admission to the MD program is very competitive. Each academic year, 80 applicants are selected for admission into the MD program. Sixty of the 80 seats are reserved for residents of Newfoundland and Labrador (NL), including 3 seats reserved for Indigenous applicants of the province. One seat is reserved for a resident of Nunavut, four are dedicated to residents of Prince Edward Island, and a number of seats yet to be determined will be available under the Military Medical Training Program (MMTP). MMTP seats are only available to those Canadian citizens currently serving in the CAF.
  
  -All applicants are screened by an interview committee, which completes a holistic review on applications and selects applicants for interview. Interviewed applicants are evaluated by the admissions committee for acceptance after consideration of academic performance, MCAT scores, personal references, interviews, extracurricular activities, volunteer and work experience.
