  Course entry requirements:
  (a) a Master’s degree from UTAR and shows evidence of adequate related research or work experience to the satisfaction of the Senate; or
  
  (b) A Master’s degree of another university or equivalent qualification from an institution as approved by the Senate and shows evidence of adequate related research or work experience to the satisfaction of the Senate; or
  
  (c) Candidates without a related Master’s degree in the field or working or research experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by UTAR.
  
  (d) A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields from UTAR with First Class Honours or with a minimum CGPA of 3.67 and show evidence of related research aptitude to the satisfaction of the Senate; or
  
  (e) A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields of another university or equivalent qualification from an institution with First Class Honours or with a minimum CGPA of 3.67 as approved by the Senate and shows evidence of related research aptitude to the satisfaction of the Senate; or
  
  (f) Any other qualifications equivalent to (a), (b), (d) or (e) as approved by the Senate.
  
  Language Requirement:
  - IELTS : 5.0 (CEFR Level B1)
  - TOEFL : 500/ TOEFL iBT Score 42 -45
  - MUET Band 3
  
  
  Course duration:
  Full Time : Normal 3 years - Max 6 years
  Part Time : Normal 4 years - Max 8 years

  -A master’s degree accepted by the Higher Education Provider (HEP) Senate; AND
  -For International students: Test Of English As A Foreign Language (TOEFL) score 500 or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score 5.0 or the equivalent.
  
  Note:
  -There shall be no direct entry from bachelor’s degree level to doctoral degree level.
  -Candidates with bachelor’s degree who are registered for master’s degree may apply to convert their candidacy to the doctoral degree programme within ONE (1) year after master’s degree registration, subjected to:
  i) Having shown competency and capability in conducting research at doctoral degree level,
  ii) Rigorous internal evaluation by the HEP,
  iii) Approval by the HEP Senate.

  Course entry requirements
  -A Master's Degree (MQF, Level 7) in Engineering or Engineering Technology or Engineering Science accepted by the Higher Educational Provider (HEP) Senate; OR
  -Other qualifications equivalent to a Master's Degree (MQF, Level 7) in Engineering or Engineering Technology or Engineering Science that are accepted by the HEP Senate.
  
  English Language Requirements
  
  (i) Malaysian Students
  -MUET Band 3.0 or IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 42 or equivalent OR
  -Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Master studies was in English
  
  (ii) International Students
  -IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 42 or equivalent OR
  -Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Master studies was in English
