  Admission requirements:
  
  Admission of applicants will be based on consideration of individual academic attainment with experience and recommendations. Admittance of students who are physically, mentally or emotionally challenged will be accepted at the discretion of the University’s Admissions Committee. Students with slight to moderate learning difficulties may be admitted if it is believed that their needs can be dealt with by the University’s Educational Support Programme and the students can be placed in the regular classroom for most subjects.
  Entry to the SOUMA programmes will be open to ALL applicants that satisfy the following:
  
  Certified valid full FINAL Secondary School Certificate or equivalent with credit passes in English, Mathematics and any one Science subject AND acceptable passes in another three subjects.
  Mature career oriented applicants holding a full Secondary School or equivalent with at least three years experience in Business/Finance, or HRM oriented field or any relevant field of work with documented competence and expertise in the specific knowledge and activities backed by strong recommendation from the employer.
  A Level certificate holders with business orientation who have at least three principal
  passes and an aggregate score of 12 points will receive subject to subject exemptions in
  year 1 and/or may be admitted into second year.
  Holders of Diploma, Advanced Diploma, HND and Professional Certificates from
  recognized institutions will be considered entry at an appropriate level commensurate
  with their awards.

  (i) Normal entry
  -Eligible candidates for year one should have six credits including Mathematics and English at MSCE or its equivalent.
  
  (ii) Mature entry
  
  Eligible candidates should have Advanced Diploma/Diploma in Business Administration or Management or related programmes or other related qualifications from a recognized University or Institution of higher learning or examining body or accredited programmes of the University of Malawi; plus:
  
  -MSCE or its equivalent with 4 credits including English and Mathematics.
  -A minimum of 2 years work experience in a commerce related field after obtaining the relevant Advanced Diploma/Diploma qualification
  
  Mature entry candidates can join year 2 or 3 depending on their qualifications.

  Course Entry Requirements:
  - Applicants must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or IGCSE/GCSE or equivalent with minimum 6 credit passes including English obtained in not more than 2 sittings.
  or
  - A Level with One A Level pass- (A-Level students will be admitted into 2nd Year)
  or
  - IB with One upper level pass.
  
  Mature Entry Requirement:
  - A recognized University Diploma or Advanced/ Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field of study earned from a recognized University with at least 2 years working experience.

  Admission requirements:
  1. Candidates must have the Malawi School Certificate of Education(MSCE) with an aggregate of not more than thirty points in the best six subjects obtained in not more than two sittings(or)
  2. Candidates must have the Malawi School Certificate of Education(MSCE) and passed in Pre-Entry/ Bridge Course Examination was conducted by the University(or)
  3. Candidates applying for bridge course must have points below 36.
  4. Credit in English is must and Chichewa is not included when calculating the aggregate points.
  5. Equivalent qualification on approval of the Academic Board.
•  Unicaf University, Lilongwe  
  Entry Requirements:
  
  Regular admission to a Bachelor’s degree programme requires the High School Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
  Applicants with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma may be considered for entry.
  Applicants with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant area may be considered for credit transfer.
  Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic requirements but who have at least 2 years relevant post secondary professional experience may be considered for entry
  English proficiency.
